Pothole Trace System is an open App from Live-Scada for citizens to Fill in the Potholes & submit request to concerned Road Dept. for taking immediate action. This application is an initiative taken by various Municipal Corporations to provide a ultimate citizen friendly solution where people can report their grievances related to the Road Maintenance work around them. This application helps you to report the complaints directly to the senior authorities of the Civic Body.
The Citizens of City can now report their inconveniences and problems related to potholes by simply downloading a Pothole Trace Application initiated by the municipal corporation, to bring transparency into its operations, as regards pothole reporting.
The Pothole Trace Application is a Web-GIS based system to track potholes. With this application Citizens can report potholes online. Users can upload pothole photos and its information by using an Android mobile phone and Geo tagged application in GPS settings. All roads lead to potholes. To fill them we have to mark them first. What if citizens are given the responsibility and power to report and track potholes spread across their respective city?
This thought led to an idea – Live-Scada App (working title: Pothole Trace), a mobile App to empower and help citizens use their smartphones to report the GPS location of a pothole and submit the photo along with it which in turn helps the local authorities identify the problem areas and address them.
It encourages you to be better citizens by reporting and tracking potholes across your city in three simple steps - Spot, Click and Report, which in turn enables the respective authorities to take action and fill in the potholes, thus making the roads safe for everyone.
After uploading the image, users get an SMS notifying them about the status of the reported pothole. The Moderation Team of Municipal approves the reported pothole and then allocates the Sub Engineer (SE) of the department through an SMS and e-mail.
Citizens can check the status of their reported pothole by using municipal’s portal http://portal.mc.gov.in and for queries they can send an email on assistance@sabatechnosoft.com
Every Citizen irrespective to whichever municipal ward they belong to, can use this application with their Android enabled mobile phone as well as GPS based mobile devices.
